Meerschaum Pipe Pricing 

The main difference between a $100 meerschaum pipe and $200+ meerschaum pipe is their sizes. 

Meerschaum raw material is found in small sizes and when it gets larger, it's price get more and more expensive because of the rareness. Just like in diamonds. Small pieces are more but larger diamonds are rare and the demand for them raises their prices.  

One other factor that affects a meerschaum pipe's price is it's carver. This is mostly for figural meerschaum pipes. If the pipe is made by certain very well known carvers because of the the high demand for their pipes, the price raises up.

For classic shape pipes it is mostly the size of the pipe effecting the price.
