He was born in 1955 in a village near to (30km) Eskisehir. The village's name is Kozlubel but it is called as Margi. There are Meerschaum Mines there.
After Primary School he worked with experts about Meerschaums. He has been in this job for 40 years. He has sold many pipes since then and he is writing his name "Sevket" on the handhold of the pipes. Sevket, Mesut and Kudret are brothers and they all carve meerschaum pipes. Two younger brothers follow their big brother Sevket' s way and learned carving from him. Sevket is a very close friend of mine and he makes his most special pieces for myself. Please check always to see his and other master carvers' master pieces.
He carves only 10 or 15 pipes in a month time and he is one of the most experienced carvers. HE ONLY MAKES PERFECTION.

GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT MEERSCHAUM PIPES Meerschaum is a very rare mineral, a kind of hard white clay. Light and porous structure of the pipe keeps the smoke cool and soft. The pipe itself is a natural filter which absorbs the nicotine. Meerschaum is the most flavorful and beautiful pipe you can own.
Because of this peculiarity, meerschaum pipes slowly change their colors to different tones of gold and dark brown. This adds an esthetic enjoyment to its great smoking pleasure. The longer a pipe is smoked the more valuable it becomes due to the color change. Today many old and rare meerschaums have found a permanent place in museums and private collections.
